The IRC in Atlanta recently partnered with Sodexo at Grady Health to help refugees and immigrants join the fight against COVID-19 as frontline healthcare workers. In recent weeks, the demand for healthcare workers has grown exponentially and Grady has welcomed new American workers with open arms to meet their staffing needs, providing them with a living wage, full benefits and flexible schedules.

The IRC in Atlanta is thrilled to announce that two of our very own—Ms. Sharita Khatiwada and Ms. Samiha Ross—have been named as part of the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network (YNPN) Atlanta ‘30 under 30’ Class of 2020!

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, refugee community leaders have helped provide masks, language accessible documents and videos, and put their lives on the line for their community.
