This report explores how refugees navigate financial and livelihoods obstacles, and the strategies that enable them to manage their finances, access financial services, and attain some measure of financial health and sustainable livelihoods.

The International Rescue Committee filed an amicus brief in support of this litigation and the national injunction on June 2, with partners. This brief reinforces our commitment to the US refugee resettlement system, the communities where we work, and the refugees who seek to rebuild their lives here in safety and freedom.

The average length of displacement is between 20 to 30 years and 6 out of 10 refugees are in urban areas, in cities and towns across the globe. At least half of all IDPs are also in urban areas.
