In honor of Mother's Day, we share the story of two mothers reunited with their children after decades apart thanks to the Central American Minors program and the help of the IRC.

Thanks to funds provided by IRC donors in response to February's emergency appeal, the IRC in Sacramento is expanding economic empowerment workshops for women this summer. Meet two of the participants.

Makia Adam arrived in the U.S. in 2015 and began working with IRC in Silver Spring in the summer of 2018 when she became a freshman in high school.

Through a partnership with CORE, the IRC was able to employ refugees in free COVID-19 testing centers throughout LA. One such refugee from, Narbeh, shares his experience and the pride he feels every day helping people: “It really makes my heart feel better. Just the fact that I can help people makes me happy.”
