IRC San Jose’s newest initiative, the B.R.I.D.G.E. Youth Mentorship program, has just hit its 10-month mark! This exciting new program focused on supporting the integration and social, educational, and vocational pursuits of refugee youth has been a long-time dream of the San Jose office.

Local refugee youth heading to college received scholarships to help ensure higher education success.

The IRC in Florida's Tallahassee office is seeking volunteers for a new Refugee Youth Tutoring program. The program is designed to support young refugees in grades 6 to 12 with their educational needs, with a special focus on English literacy and comprehension.

This summer two special interns are changing the lives of newly-arrived youth.

New York & New Jersey's RYSA programs serve hundreds of students each summer. With the onset of COVID-19, RYSA 2020 is adapting to keep RYSA students safe.

The IRC’s Refugee Youth Summer Academy is a program designed to help newly arrived students understand and become accustomed to public schools in the U.S. The program works with students of all ages to thrive in a new culture by exposing them to American teaching styles and subjects.

To celebrate #WorldBookDay, April 23, students in our Youth Futures Book Club recorded videos to share about their favorite books. The IRC’s Student Support Specialist, Ms. Cait, compiled these videos for a special social media post on our channels to commemorate the day and celebrate the students’ love of reading!  

In June, 15 refugee youth met with employees at Celtic Bank to learn about careers opportunities in the banking industry.
