Volunteers will engage with students, either virtually or in person, as Citizenship Preparation instructors. Volunteer instructors will be provided a textbook, scope and sequence, slide decks, and additional resources. Curriculum covers vocabulary, US history and government, and navigating interviews. Volunteers are encouraged to develop and implement their own activities to enhance learning and engagement.

Volunteer Requirements

  1. Level One Arizona Fingerprint Card 
  2. IRC Background Check
  3. All volunteers are required to show proof of Covid-19 vaccination
  4. 4-6 hours a week for class plus preparation 
  • Classes are Tuesday and Thursday, or Saturday.
  • May chose from the following time slots for virtual classes: 10-12, 1-3, or 5-7, or in-person Tuesday and Thursday, 5-7 at the IRC office.
