Location: IRC office in Silver Spring, MD
Time Commitment: All internships require availability for at least 15 hours per week between Monday through Friday 9AM-5PM.
Responsibilities: At any given moment, on any given day, all around the world, IRC staff members are restlessly and effectively working for the sake of the most vulnerable among us—to restore and renew hope, dignity and freedom.

IRC Silver Spring offers a wide range of internship opportunities which relate to the many services IRC provides to their clients. IRC interns in Silver Spring will work in a hands-on, active environment with IRC team members and clients where they will help to resettle newly arrived refugees in the United States.

Skills & Qualifications: Interns must be culturally sensitive and respectful of diverse backgrounds; be willing to work with English language learners; self-motivated and comfortable working with little supervision; able to collaborate with others and work well as part of a team; able to handle sensitive client information confidently; able to communicate effectively in English; fluency in additional languages helpful, but not required.
