Virtual After School Tutoring Program
Location: Online (IRC Zoom account)
Time Commitment: The after school program will be weekly Monday-Thursday between 4:00PM and 6:00PM starting mid-January. We ask that volunteers commit to attending a minimum of one session per week. One session per month is required.
Responsibilities: This program connects middle and high school students with a trained tutor to provide support with homework, English conversation practice, and tutoring in specific areas tailored to each student. This program is virtual and takes place on Zoom with the supervision of IRC staff.
Skills & Qualifications: Volunteers must be fluent in English; have some experience working with youth; be culturally sensitive and respectful of diverse backgrounds; able to follow instructions and maintain appropriate relationships with students and staff; able to handle client information confidentially.
