The International Rescue Committee helped this family from Myanmar resettle in Salt Lake City, Utah, in 2011. This photo was snapped in snowy Park City, Utah, where the parents were applying for jobs with a ski resort.

On this first day of winter, a special word of thanks to IRC supporters who have given such a warm welcome to thousands of refugees who started new lives in the United States this year.
Coat drives, holiday gift drives, cash donations, fundraising campaigns, volunteering, mentoring, and so much more … Thank you for all the time, treasure and talent you’ve devoted to helping families who have fled war and persecution feel at home in America. And thanks as always for your support of the IRC's work around the world.
Happy holidays!
