A group of devoted, super-excited Syrian girls hit the streets recently to send a message to their neighbors in Ramtha, Jordan, where they live as refugees. But instead of carrying placards or distributing leaflets, they handed out homemade cupcakes with messages intended to help Jordanians better understand their lives as displaced Syrians. more »

Anaam and her husband, Raed, live with their three young children in an empty shop in Mafraq, a town in northern Jordan near the Syrian border. They fled Homs one year ago, and now rent the store, using it as a makeshift home, for 25 Jordanian dinars ($35 US) a month. more »
