Help us get to 30,000 "likes" on Facebook
When we posted to Facebook last October about a refugee women's knitting group created by a therapist in the IRC in Tucson office, our Facebook friends from around the United States responded with donations of yarn and knitting supplies. It was a remarkable display not only of our supporters' generosity, but also of the community we share. Above, some of the knitting group's handiwork.
Since we created an International Rescue Committee page two years ago, people from around the globe have come together to build a dynamic community on Facebook. Every day, we’re excited to share stories of our work and hear from our inquisitive, passionate and committed supporters.
We recently launched a Facebook Like Challenge aimed at doubling our Facebook fans – from 15,000 in August to 30,000 by October 31. We’re on a roll and last night, we grew to 20,000! Will you help us by liking the IRC if you haven’t already (just click the “Like” button below), and sharing our page with your Facebook friends? We bet they are just the kind of people who’d take an interest in our mission to lead refugees from harm to home.
Thanks for being part of our community, on Facebook and around the world.
