NYC: Moving Day [Photos]

Last month Chet Nath, his wife, Uma, and their five-year-old son, Kushal, found refuge in New York City — 17 years after Chet Nath and Uma were exiled from their homes in Bhutan.  The International Rescue Committee is helping the family settle in to a new home and a new life — IRC volunteer Misha Cohen shares these photos.  (Read Part 1 here and Part 3 here)

It's amazing to witness the

It's amazing to witness the fresh start this family gets by viewing these photographs. The mommy in me can't help but worry about little Kushal and the huge transition that I'm sure he's experiencing. Obviously this is a positive transition, but a transition nonetheless. I'm anticipating future posts about this family.

Misha Cohen continues to do an amazing job capturing Chet Nath and his family's transition to life in NYC. Her photos are at once deeply moving and inspiring. I wait in excited anticipation for the next post.
