- An elderly woman in Kurmuk, Western Ethiopia at a ceremony to inaugurate the town's new water system. Before the IRC restored the system — which hadn’t functioned properly for about 10 years — residents had to travel nearly two miles to another village to bring back safe, but expensive, drinking water.
