In a news blog published by AlertNet on February 22, International Rescue Committee UK Trustee Sir John Holmes warns that Kenya’s war and security crackdown against al-Shabaab could have serious repercussions for Somali refugees in the country.

It pains me to see how the war on al-shabab is affecting the refugees in our country. Majority of the refugees are viewed negatively and this makes them lack support from our nationals. I urge my country me to see these refugees as our brothers and sisters. Lets help them when they are in need.
