I recently visited the Kailahun Women’s Center -- a special place where women gather to talk, learn new skills, like soap-making and catering, and conduct business. It also serves as a safe house for women and girls who have been sexually assaulted and need short-term shelter. more »

Working in projects on violence against women has always appealed to me, so when I received the invitation to participate in an IRC project, I was very happy. I really needed a space to think about this problem, which is present in the site, and to find ways to help women. I’m happy and proud that we women are helping each other to get out of violent situations. more »

I have faced a lot of problems since January 12th and I think that this is true for all women. What I’m doing right now has given me a chance to act for the good of others. Living so close to the problems that women are facing has changed a lot in me. It motivates me more. more »
