Help a Refugee in Arizona!

Dear Friends,

For the past few months I have seen how the IRC in Phoenix assists refugees to rebuild new lives in the United States and am proud to be a part of this critical work. But we cannot do this alone.

Please join us this holiday season with a gift to the IRC in Phoenix.

Through the support of our community, this past year, the IRC in Phoenix assisted nearly 600 newly arrived refugees, asylees and victims of human trafficking. We helped 420 refugees find employment and start on the path to financial self reliance. We helped 67 farmers through our New Roots program teaching them to harvest organically grown produce that can be sold at various farmers markets. We provided case management services, offered counseling and alternative mental health services, assisted in opening 77 refugee owned businesses and helped many refugees become American citizens.

While determined and eager to rebuild their lives, newly arrived refugees need support and skills to create a hopeful future.  With your help, the IRC in Phoenix provides the necessary tools and resources to lead refugees on the final leg of their journey from harm to home.

Your donation, no matter how large or small, can make an enormous difference in the lives of refugees in Phoenix.

Thank you for your friendship and support. I wish you and your family a peaceful holiday season.

With deep gratitude,
Donna Magnuson
Executive Director, the IRC in Phoenix

P.S. Through December 31, special friends of the IRC will match your donation dollar for dollar up to $1.7 million.  In this way, your donation to the IRC in Phoenix will unlock matching funds that support the IRC’s work with refugees worldwide.
