IRC Youth Tennis Program

Whether beginner or advanced, everyone brings their best game to the IRC Tennis Club every Friday from 2:30 to 4:30 at Crawford High School in City Heights. Here, local youth led by Coach JB learn everything from the basics of the game to advanced strategy and techniques - all while engaging in competition and making friends.

Long, pictured, has a killer serve.  When asked what kept him coming to the IRC Tennis Club throughout highschool, Long said, "It's free and you get good competition. Everyone is from different backgrounds, but we get along...it's like a family." He graduated from Crawford last June and will be heading to UC in the fall where he plans to try out for the tennis team.

Supported by generous funding from the Unites States Tennis Association and in-kind donations from IRC supporters, the IRC Tennis Club is rounding out its second year. We look forward to a successful 2012 fall season with the Crawford Women’s Team.
