During conflict and crisis, education protects children and sets them up for a better future. It provides a sense of hope and enables them to recover, learn and thrive. However, over 127 million children in countries affected by war and displacement are out of school, while many others receive only a poor quality education. Despite this great need, education has received less than 3% of all humanitarian aid in recent years.
The IRC helps Iraqis affected by conflict, particularly women, youth and children, to access vital services and enjoy their rights in a safe and peaceful environment.
IRC Hellas is the International Rescue Committee's presence in Greece, working to help people whose lives and livelihoods are shattered by conflict and disaster, to survive, recover and gain control of their future.
