The Homework Support Program connects refugee and newcomer middle and high school students with university volunteers who believe in the power of education to open doors. By giving just one afternoon a week, you help students stay on track with their homework, build confidence, and develop the skills they need to succeed in their new schools.
This is more than tutoring; it’s connection. You become a mentor, a role model, and a steady presence in a student’s academic journey. As you support them, you also grow; building leadership, empathy, and real-world experience that will stay with you long after graduation.
Note: This is an unpaid, in person role at our Tucson, AZ Office.
