Volunteer Opportunities

This volunteer role works to equip refugees with essential digital skills to effectively search and apply for jobs, create, manage and send resumes, communicate with employers, and navigate online employment platforms, supporting successful entry into the workforce.

The Homework Support Program connects refugee and newcomer middle and high school students with university volunteers who believe in the power of education to open doors. By giving just one afternoon a week, you help students stay on track with their homework, build confidence, and develop the skills they need to succeed in their new schools. This is more than tutoring; it’s connection. You become a mentor, a role model, and a steady presence in a student’s academic journey. As you support them, you also grow; building leadership, empathy, and real-world experience that will stay with you long after graduation. Note: This is an unpaid, in person role at our Tucson, AZ Office.

The Resettlement Supplemental Services program supports refugees and asylees, addressing their basic needs such as shelter, access to public benefits, and education during the crucial initial phase of resettlement. As a volunteer, you will assist the Resettlement Supervisor with file quality assurance and service delivery oversight.
