The International Rescue Committee provides a wide range of assistance for refugees, displaced persons and vulnerable Ethiopian communities as the country faces conflict, regional instability, climate change and food insecurity as a lingering effect of subsequent droughts.
The International Rescue Committee has been responding to outbreaks of the Ebola virus in the Democratic Republic of Congo. We also responded In 2014, as West Africa experienced the largest ever outbreak of Ebola, which claimed over 11,000 lives.
