Emergencies

Each year, the International Rescue Committee analyzes 190 countries and territories to identify the countries at greatest risk of experiencing a new or worsening humanitarian crisis in the coming year. We identify and rank the 20 countries most at risk in our Emergency Watchlist.

Sudan

Sudan now represents the largest and fastest displacement crisis in the world. It is also the largest humanitarian crisis on record. The IRC is on the ground in Sudan and helping Sudanese refugees in neighbouring countries.
Occupied Palestinian Territory (oPt)

The IRC is working in both Gaza and the West Bank to reach Palestinians with critical humanitarian aid.
Ukraine

The war in Ukraine continues to have devastating consequences for the civilian population as humanitarian needs persist. The IRC is responding where we are needed most.
Burkina Faso

Violence is spreading across Burkina Faso as the influence of nonstate armed groups grows.
