“The International Rescue Committee condemns the attack on the processing centre in Dover which left two people injured.
Our thoughts are with those impacted by this act of violence and prejudice.
Asylum seekers arriving in the UK must be treated with the decency and respect that all human beings deserve.
The UK Government must speed up dramatically the processing of asylum claims so that decisions are made quickly and, whether or not they remain in the UK, refugees and asylum seekers can rebuild their lives.”
