Rohingya crisis: trapped inside camps in Rakhine
Conflict is raging between Rakhine Buddhists and Muslim minority groups in Rakhine, one of Myanmar's poorest states. In 2012 many Muslims, including Rohingya, were attacked by their neighbours and forced into government camps as their villages were destroyed. The latest outbreak of violence on Aug. 25 pushed hundreds of thousands of Rohingya into neighbouring Bangladesh. That number could soon reach 1 million as the world’s fastest growing humanitarian crisis continues.
