This IRC resource helps educators and students to celebrate the many identities that make us who we are. This resource is based upon the Crenshaw's theory of Intersectionality (1989), McIntosh's invisible knapsack model (1989) and Burnham and Roper-Hall's Social Graces Model (2017). Staff and students can decorate and complete their invisible knapsacks and use this as a starting point for celebrating the diversity within our classrooms. The completed knapsacks can be used to create beautiful displays and give educators a way in to get to know who their students are to help them better meet their individual needs.
