With government funding cuts closing hospitals, schools and lifesaving programmes around the world, we’re showing valued supporters like you the incredible power of aid to change people’s lives.

Answer these 3 quick questions to find out just how much your support helps.

First, let’s focus on one country…
How many mobile health teams does the IRC run in Afghanistan?
  • 14
  • 26
  • 35
That's right!
That’s not quite right…

We have 35 mobile health teams bringing critical health and nutrition services to some of Afghanistan’s hardest-to-reach communities. We also run nine health facilities.

In 2023, we provided health services to almost two million people in Afghanistan. And incredibly, our programme to treat acute malnutrition has a 93.5% cure rate.

But aid cuts are putting lifesaving services like these at risk. As governments step back, it’s never been more urgent for supporters like you to step forward. Every donation can make a difference to people in crisis.

Next, let’s see what happens when a disaster hits…
After the Türkiye/Syria earthquake, how many people did we reach with safe drinking water?
  • 92,000
  • 31,0000
  • 427,000
That's right!
That’s not quite right…

We reached 427,000 people with clean water in Türkiye and Syria.

With people facing catastrophic conditions, IRC teams also provided shelter, medical treatment, hot food, hygiene provisions and emergency cash transfers to help families purchase essentials.

When crises like this happen, we have to act fast to save lives. With aid cuts hitting hard, our ability to act fast in a crisis could be threatened. We can’t continue to do this work without the support from donors like you.

And finally, the big numbers…
How many people in crisis did IRC teams reach in 2023?
  • 17.2 million people
  • 22.8 million people
  • 34.5 million people
That's right!
That’s not quite right…

We reached 34.5 million people in 2023, across more than 40 crisis-affected countries.

From lifesaving food, shelter and medical care to education and legal support and much more, we help people in crisis survive, recover and rebuild.

Your support is genuinely life-changing. And with humanitarian aid cuts, it’s needed more than ever. Thank you. If you can, please donate now to keep this vital work going.
