See how population density puts refugees at risk

Thousands of refugees are at increased risk of coronavirus due to the over-crowded conditions they are forced to live in. Living in close proximity increases the rate at which the disease spreads. On the Diamond Princess cruise ship COVID-19 spread four times faster than in Wuhan at the peak of the outbreak.

Illustrator and data journalist Mona Chalabi partnered with the IRC to help us communicate the threats refugees are facing in light of COVID-19—and the need for the world to act.

Raise awareness about the risk facing refugees and share Mona's illustrations on Facebook.
