About Sarah Allen

Since joining the IRC in 2022 Sarah has successfully managed corporate and community volunteers, built relationships with employers, service providers and corporate partners, delivered capacity building training, and organised workshops and events for clients across England.

Before joining IRC, Sarah worked with charities supporting disabled people, care leavers, and unaccompanied asylum-seeking children, as well as teaching English in Bangkok schools. She studied Politics and Sociology at Newcastle University, where she volunteered for over two years with NEST (North East Solidarity and Teaching), supporting refugees and asylum seekers through English teaching.

Sarah is passionate about mindfulness and meditation, and co-leads IRC UK’s Mental Health First Aiders and Wellbeing Collective.
