What is face-to-face fundraising?

Face-to-face fundraising is how we meet supporters in person, on the doorstep or in busy public spaces, to talk about our work and ask for regular donations.

How to spot a genuine IRC fundraiser

All our fundraisers wear a branded t-shirt or jacket and carry a photo ID badge. They'll tell you they're a paid fundraiser for the International Rescue Committee UK, explain the campaign they're working on, and ask you to sign up.

If you do, you'll get a confirmation email or text, and a welcome pack.

Where we work

Our fundraisers operate across England, Scotland and Wales, door-to-door and at private sites like shopping centres and train stations.

Any details you share are kept confidential and handled in line with the Fundraising Regulator's Code of Practice. We'll need your account number, sort code and contact details to set up a direct debit and send confirmation. With your consent, we'll also use your contact details to keep you updated on our work, for example fundraising appeals or volunteering opportunities.
