We are excited to launch a new self-paced, online Healing Classrooms course in partnership with the Open University. The course is free to access and open to all.

The training is based on our highly rated, accredited CPD trainer-led Healing Classrooms course that helps educators and schools to nurture and support refugee and asylum-seeking students.

Each unit covers a key aspect of Healing Classrooms, from trauma-informed teaching methods to fostering academic success, with interactive case studies, graded activities, videos, knowledge sharing resources, tried-and-tested strategies, tasks to take away and try in school and a graded quiz.

Those completing the course will receive digital badges connected to their LinkedIn profile and a completion certificate after passing each end of unit quiz.

The self-paced nature of this course will make it more accessible to those who cannot attend our trainer-led sessions, and act as a useful refresher for past participants who want to brush up on their knowledge gain an Open University accredited qualification.

What is Healing Classrooms?

We’re building a movement to create Healing Classrooms right across the UK, supporting schools and educators to develop inclusive and nurturing learning spaces where refugee and asylum-seeking students can gain the necessary academic, social and emotional skills to develop their full potential. We have currently trained 3500+ educators from 1200+ schools and organisations impacting more than 16,000 refugee and asylum-seeking children and young people.

How do I sign up?

As with all of IRC UK’s Healing Classrooms training, the online course is completely free to access and open to all.
