Overview
This free online course is for community sponsorship groups supporting refugee families in the UK. It is also useful for anyone who works with interpreters.
You will learn:
- what interpreters and service providers do, and what they should not be asked to do
- how to prepare for, lead and follow up on a meeting with an interpreter, using a simple checklist
- how to handle 5 common problems that can come up
The course takes about 1 hour. You can stop at any time and come back later. You can use a phone, tablet or computer, and you will get a certificate when you finish.
