Refugee stories

People used to tell me, I wish I had your strength. I’ve been through a lot of hardships in my life, even if I fall down a hundred times, I’ll get back up again.
Rahima
Rahima fled Afghanistan with her five children to escape death threats. Now in a refugee camp on the Greek island of Lesvos, she’s raising awareness about COVID-19 and how people can stay safe from the virus.
Her story

Misra
22-year-old Misra is a teacher in Qoloji camp in the Somali region of Ethiopia where she lives with her two children. Not being able to pursue her own dreams of getting a PhD has made her determined to support future generations to have more opportunities.
Her Story
