In 2025, the IRC’s Anti-Trafficking Program in Miami reached a powerful milestone, supporting over 50 survivors of human trafficking through its trauma-informed, client-centered approach during this year alone. As a leading force within the Enhanced Collaborative Model (ECM) Task Force, IRC continues to drive coordination among law enforcement, legal advocates, and community partners to ensure survivors receive the comprehensive care they deserve.
This year, the team deepened its commitment to collaborative, survivor-informed care, responding to rising demand with streamlined protocols, expanded partnerships, and an unwavering focus on restoring safety, dignity, and autonomy for survivors of all backgrounds.
One standout achievement: IRC’s targeted outreach to male and labor trafficking survivors, groups often overlooked in traditional models. In collaboration with Framework and the South Florida Human Trafficking Taskforce, IRC helped craft a bold new strategy to reach individuals in high-risk industries and non-traditional trafficking contexts. Grounded in survivor feedback and trauma-informed best practices, this initiative is reshaping how services are delivered across gender, labor sectors, and cultural lines.
By closing critical service gaps and championing inclusive care, IRC Miami is setting a new standard for equity-driven anti-trafficking work in South Florida and beyond.
