What is the Rescue Collective? Rescue Collective is a community of donors and action-takers within the International Rescue Committee, who support refugees and displaced families affected by humanitarian crises to regain their safety, health, education, economic wellbeing, and power.

At 10 years old, Heba has known nothing but war in Syria. Three years ago, pain in her leg started making it difficult for her to walk, but attacks on hospitals prevented her from getting the medical attention she needed—until she received care from the IRC and our partners.

We took to the streets of New York and Washington D.C. to find out what Americans know about the crisis in Yemen.

After six years of war in Yemen, the COVID-19 pandemic has only worsened a crisis that has left over half of the population hungry and nearly 4 million people internally displaced—all while the virus spreads at unprecedented levels.

No running water. Crowded living conditions. Limited access to health care. This is the reality for nearly 1 million displaced people in northwest Syria, where the IRC has adapted our programs to protect people from the spread of COVID-19.
