The IRC in Tallahassee is seeking volunteer drivers to deliver pre-packaged food boxes to clients in the Tallahassee area. Support refugees by offsetting food insecurity with "The Last Mile" food distribution initiative.  Volunteers are needed for the 1st Saturday of every month.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect pre-packaged food boxes from our local Food Bank partners
  • Deliver food boxes directly to our clients in the community.

Requirements:

  • Background check including driver history required
  • Must have reliable transportation with the ability to transport medium-sized boxes
  • Must be reliable, professional, and treat all clients with respect.
  • Must track and log hours volunteered monthly via our online volunteer dashboard

Minimum Commitment:

  • Approximately 2 hours on pre-scheduled Saturday distribution.
