Volunteer tutors will support English language learning among refugee and immigrant women who are new to Spokane County and face barriers to mainstream services, such as transportation, childcare, and limited classroom experience.
Volunteers will help participants improve their English language skills and build confidence through weekly, one hour, in-home ESL tutoring, as well as targeted learning activities or community orientation outings that support English language acquisition.
