On Tuesday, May 2nd, visit AbileneGives.org and donate to support the IRC in Abilene!

The IRC in Abilene is seeking funds for three program areas:

  1. Youth Programming. Through a generous grant through the CFA, the IRC provided a youth program to better support refugee and immigrant youth in the integration process. Through support groups, ESL classes, field trips, and workshops, youth learn to deal with changing family dynamics, culture shock, and prepare for their future (job readiness training, financial literacy, and college prep).
  2. Women's programming. Refugee women often times feel isolated after arriving in the US. The IRC's proposed women's programming will assist women in building partnerships, learning vocational & ESL skills, and better navigate Abilene.
  3. The IRC plans to purchase a 15 passenger van to overcome transportation barriers refugees face in accessing ESL classes, support groups, and programming.

Consider making a donation to support these programs in Abilene, TX. For more information visit AbileneGives.org or contact the IRC in Abilene at (325) 675-5643.
