In accordance with Governor Northam’s Executive Stay at Home order, the IRC in Richmond staff is working remotely. We are in regular contact with our clients, including keeping appointments by phone or video chat.

All IRC staff members and services are available by phone or email. Staff can be reached at their direct phone lines or by calling the main line at 804-308-9144. Phone calls are forwarded and staff are available during our normal business hours, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. The general mailbox is [email protected]. To reach Immigration Services, email: [email protected]

Our Resettlement Store is closed to the public and not receiving donations at this time. If possible, please hang on to your like-new and gently-used household items until we can begin accepting them again.

You can help today by participating in #GivingTuesdayNow, a global day of giving and unity that will take place on May 5, 2020 as an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19. Your donation to the IRC in Richmond will help us continue to serve refugee families rebuilding their lives in Richmond.

#GivingTuesdayNow emphasizes opportunities to give back to communities and causes in safe ways that allow for social connection and kindness even while practicing physical distancing.

Soon we will announce our Amazon Wishlist program, which will help provide much-needed household items safely and directly to refugee families in Richmond who are experiencing job loss and possible lack of eligibility for unemployment insurance benefits.

Thank you for your continued support of our work and your solidarity in this time when so many are experiencing strife as the economy and community activities are on hold.
