Helping Afghan SIVs in Arizona

The IRC in Arizona expects to receive Afghan SIV families, with numbers expected to increase due to the deteriorating situation in Afghanistan. The IRC calls on the Arizona community to open our arms and offer our welcome to these families who risked their lives providing critical and longstanding assistance to the U.S. mission in Afghanistan.

Here are ways YOU can help!

Clothing & Household Donations: Due to the COVID pandemic, the IRC is not able to accept used clothing. Community members can shop from IRC’s Amazon Wish List for items resettling families will need. Amazon Wish List 

Cash Donations: The IRC’s Emergency Fund gives access to refugee families and SIVs who have unexpected, urgent needs such as emergency rent. Make a secure donation.

Advocacy: The IRC released this Action Alert, urging President Biden to act swiftly to protect at-risk Afghans: Take action now!
