A Community Effort for Food, Housing Stability
Tallahassee is a city where neighbors don’t just notice one another—they show up.
And we’ve been listening.
You’ve told us about the families you’ve met in your churches, schools, shopping plaza, and neighborhoods. Families you already support. Families navigating more than just financial strain—some managing ongoing health conditions while trying to rebuild stability.
The Tallahassee Neighbors Fund was created in direct response to what you shared.
This community-powered monthly giving fund supports food access, housing stability, and critical health-related needs for families in Tallahassee rebuilding after crisis—many of whom you already welcome as neighbors.
Why This Matters Now
Many families served by the International Rescue Committee in Tallahassee are working hard to move forward. They are employed or seeking work, navigating new systems, and caring for children and loved ones.
For some, this journey includes managing chronic or acute health conditions—making missed meals, housing instability, or financial gaps even more destabilizing.
Predictable monthly support allows families to stay housed, keep food on the table, attend medical appointments, and focus on healing and long-term stability—without falling back into crisis.
