After more than 15 years, this week we say goodbye to the Michie Building and move across town to a larger space as our team continues to grow to meet the increased need. Our new office, located at 375 Greenbrier Drive, will have more space for staff and clients to safely meet inside and better parking, making it more accessible to many community members. The new office is accessible on Bus Route 5 from the stop on the corner of Commonwealth and Greenbrier Drive, and we will work with Charlottesville Area Transit (CAT) to identify possible new stops to improve accessibility by public transportation.
What you can expect for the remainder of 2021:
- Beginning December 13, IRC staff will be packing our workstations and shared spaces. Please be patient if you are trying to reach us during this time.
- December 16 and 17, the IRC office on 609 E. Market Street will be closed to all visitors. Staff will be working remotely on those days and remain fully accessible to clients and partners.
- Monday, December 20, the IRC will re-open at our new location: 375 Greenbrier Drive, Suite 200, Charlottesville, VA 22901
- We will continue to pause all in-kind donations except gift cards for the month of December as we get settled.
We are excited to share this new space with all of you in the coming months. In the meantime, we greatly appreciate your patience.
