The International Rescue Committee would like to thank the Claremont Colleges for their donation of five boxes of school supplies, including pens, pencils, markers, notebooks and crayons in recognition of International Education Week.

The International Place of the Claremont Colleges and the Office of Study Abroad at Pomona College organized IEW 2015 around the theme of “Access for All: Migration and the Refugee Crisis in the Middle East.”

“After we had chosen our theme, we wanted to partner with the IRC  in LA for the donation of school supplies because the IRC is one of the world leaders in responding quickly and compassionately to humanitarian crises,” Lindsey Sasaki, Assistant Director of Study Abroad for Pomona College, said. “I am so grateful for all the work that IRC does here in Southern California, nationally and around the world.”
