To catalyze our work, the IRC is transitioning to a new volunteer engagement platform: Golden. Active volunteers and interns are currently being transitioned to Golden where IRC service opportunities can be selected and hours tracked. Soon, interested community members will be able to search for and apply to IRC service opportunities through Golden! Now more than ever, your support is critical to continue welcoming, integrating, and supporting newcomers and survivors into our communities.

Last year, over 3,000 volunteers shared over 234,000 hours supporting newcomer services across our U.S. network ranging from job readiness training and youth tutoring to case management and mental health services. Engaging volunteer and intern service provides critical support to clients, programs, and offices. Documenting donated time is part of federal requirements for the funding we receive. Compliance makes us competitive for continuation and new funding opportunities.

Your volunteer service has a multi-faceted positive impact, and we're grateful for your dedicated partnership. As we continue to work together to provide critical support and to empower newcomer communities, we're excited to launch this technical solution to streamline and improve your volunteer experience and to better track each generous contribution of your time and talent.
