Double your impact this holiday season for refugee families across Northern California!
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Northern California invites local businesses, affinity groups, and faith-based organizations to join our Match Maker Donation Drive, a holiday giving initiative designed to raise funds, build partnerships, and strengthen community connections.
What Is Match Maker?
Match Maker partners pledge a matching gift and inspire their employees, customers, and networks to give. Each participating organization receives a custom donation page and QR code through IRC’s DonorDrive platform, making it easy to rally community support and double the impact of every contribution.
Whether your business or organization is large or small, your participation helps refugee families access:
- Safe and stable housing
- Pathways to employment and self-sufficiency
- Essential wellness and resettlement services
DonorDrive Details
- DonorDrive Window: November 20, 2025 – January 1, 2026
- Goal: $25,000 per office ($100,000 across Northern California)
- Participating Offices: Sacramento, Oakland, San Jose, and Turlock
Each office’s DonorDrive directly supports newcomers who now call Northern California home.
How to Become a Match Maker
Joining the Match Maker program is simple! Follow these steps to launch your campaign and make a lasting impact this holiday season.
1️⃣ Set Your Match Goal
Select a match amount that aligns with your giving capacity — whether it’s $1,000 or $10,000, every dollar helps create a community of welcome where families can thrive.
2️⃣ Create Your Donation Page
- Click “Create a Page” on your local IRC office’s Match Maker site
- Turlock | San Jose | Oakland | Sacramento
- Fill out the required fields.
- Set your fundraising goal (double the amount you plan to match).
- Personalize your page with your logo, photos, and reason for supporting refugee families.
3️⃣ Launch Your Match Maker Donation Page
Use your custom donation page and QR code to promote your campaign during November 20 - January 1.
Share it with:
- Employees and team members
- Customers, clients, or members
- Your congregation or community network
4️⃣ Spread the Word
- Post your campaign on social media
- Include your link in newsletters and staff emails
- Display flyers or QR codes in your office or storefront
5️⃣ Celebrate Your Impact
- The donation drive runs November 20 – January 1
- IRC staff will confirm your total, share an Impact Report, and celebrate your success in January
- Top fundraisers will receive special recognition and IRC-branded swag for their outstanding support!
