We are incredibly grateful to the American Eagle Foundation for awarding the IRC in San Diego a Community Grant in the amount of $5,000 on October 23rd, 2025, in support of our Health through Emotional Awareness and Learning (HEAL) Program. 

The IRC in San Diego HEAL program provides holistic support to refugee youth across four high schools in San Diego, responding directly to the profound challenges of trauma, displacement, and adversity they have faced. By combining in-class and after-school Social Emotional Learning (SEL) programs, HEAL empowers students with practical tools to improve concentration, strengthen emotional regulation, build healthy interpersonal relationships, and develop resilience in managing stress. 

The American Eagle Foundation is dedicated to promoting the mental health and well-being of young people. This generous contribution will make a difference in the lives of the young people we serve, helping them build the emotional tools they need to heal and grow.
