At the International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Utah, we continue to serve over 3,000 refugees and immigrants in our community, providing critical programs and services that close the distance from surviving to thriving for so many families. None of us can accomplish this work on our own. That’s where you come in!

Here are our top five ways you can show up for refugees and immigrants in our community:

  1. Advocate. Contact your elected officials & tell them why they should support refugee resettlement & our newest neighbors. Equip yourself to become an advocate »

  2. Support refugee & immigrant entrepreneurs. Stop by a New Roots Farmers Market, request a Spice Kitchen chef to cater your next event, or support other local small businesses.

  3. Invest in the future. Connect employers or housing opportunities to help newcomer families rebuild in Utah. Start the conversation by emailing us at SaltLakeCity@Rescue.org.

  4. Volunteer. Join the IRC in Utah as a volunteer. Step up to become a mentor, tutor, or community navigator or gather a group to complete a service project. Learn how to get started at Rescue.org/VolunteerSLC »

  5. Give. A contribution today ensures the IRC in Utah continues to provide robust, life-changing services for refugees and immigrants in our community. Consider joining our efforts as a monthly sustainer, providing consistent support for our work today & in the months to come. Make your local gift at Rescue.org/GiveSLC »

Your support can make all the difference. Thank you for showing up for refugee and immigrant families: today, tomorrow & always!

Kindly note: all financial contributions made to the IRC in Utah remain local to support our work in the community. If you would rather contribute offline or have questions about the impact of your contribution, reach out to Jesse Sheets, development director, at SaltLakeCity@Rescue.org to learn more.
