Prior to their arrival in Wichita, the IRC must set up a household for newly arriving refugees that includes essential items. One way community members and organizations can contribute is to donate these household goods which allows clients to utilize the limited resettlement funds on pressing needs, such as rent and utilities, as they work towards self-sufficiency.
Your support in cash or in-kind is welcome and greatly appreciated not only by the IRC but by the clients who benefit. Donation kits are listed below along with an estimated cost for each. If you prefer to make a monetary donation, IRC will gladly purchase kits on your behalf. As new refugee families arrive, the kits will be distributed to clients who need them!
