It is with great pleasure that I share with you the news that IRC has welcomed Sarah Terlouw as the new executive director of the IRC Northern California offices. Sarah is not new to the IRC family. She most recently served as the country director for the IRC operations in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), consisting of 6 offices and a team of more than 700 staff across the country.

Refugee families and survivors of human trafficking are disproportionately affected by COVID-19's impacts on our community. Help IRC ensure our clients have the resources and services they need to get through this trying time.

The IRC is currently accepting new and gently used donations of winter coats and blankets.

Staff at the IRC in Silver Spring work to address the unique barriers faced by refugee students, while providing educators with the skills and knowledge to set youth up for academic success.

The Best Use of Resources initiative aims to increase the IRC’s own effectiveness, and the effectiveness of the humanitarian system as a whole.

The IRC is committed to bringing life-saving immunization to children in the most challenging and hard-to reach areas. We work in 18 fragile, crisis-affected countries to ensure that caregivers and infants can access immunizations.
