How to become an IRC volunteer
The IRC in Baltimore currently offers remote internships, two remote volunteer mentorship opportunities, and two housing set-up opportunities. We are continuing to hold virtual information sessions to provide an overview of IRC's work and how to get involved.
If you are interested in volunteering, please go through the following steps:
Attend an information session. Sessions are generally scheduled every 4-6 weeks, with evening and daytime sessions available. All sessions take place via Zoom in a live webinar format. Registered participants will be sent the link to the session 24 hours before the session.
RSVP for an upcoming session by using this link or emailing [email protected]. Sessions are generally held every 4-6 weeks. The next session will be on Friday, June 25 from 12-1pm. The next session will be in August.
After the info session, complete a volunteer application. Most opportunities also require a background check. Approved volunteers will be connected with an IRC staff point person to get started. Each opportunity will have specific training or next steps.
