Help our team prepare for a family to arrive by setting up their apartment.
Resettlement Shop Volunteer
Sort and receive donations, and assist clients to select clothing and household items.
Family Mentor Volunteer
Family mentors work one-on-one with a refugee family or individual to ease their transition to Baltimore and the U.S.
How to become an IRC volunteer
The IRC in Baltimore is currently recruiting for the volunteer positions posted above and holds monthly information sessions to provide an overview of IRC's work and how to get involved.
If you are interested in volunteering, please go through the following steps:
Attend an information session. All sessions take place in a live webinar format. Participants will be sent the link to the webinar 24 hours before the session.
Upcoming info session webinar dates: Thursday, September 12 from 5:30 - 6:30pm. Wednesday, October 16 from 5:30 - 6:30pm.
Complete an application and background check. Approved volunteers will be connected with an IRC staff point person to get started.
