Volunteer Role
In this volunteer role, individuals will have the opportunity to contribute to the community fridge located in our San Diego offices, directly impacting IRC clients’ access to nutritious food.
Responsibilities
- Stocking the community fridge
- Assist with food rescue pickups at local grocery stores
- Gleaning and/or sorting food donations
- Fridge cleaning and general maintenance/upkeep
Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy food boxes safely
- Reliable and punctual to show up for scheduled volunteer shifts
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive, motivated, and adaptable
Commitment Details
- Start Date: August / September 2026
- Weekly Hour Commitment 4 - 8 hours
This position reports to the Women’s Resilience Center Coordinator.
