About the Program
As of November 1st, 2025, humanitarian immigrants are no longer eligible for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). Given the impact of this policy on local newcomers, we are seeking food support from volunteers collecting a week’s worth of groceries for a family in need.
Volunteer Activities:
You will receive the household size and country of origin for a family that you would prepare groceries for. You would receive a sample grocery list per family background to inform dietary preferences. You will collaborate with IRC staff to coordinate the grocery delivery.
