Location: IRC office (609 East Market St., Suite 104).

Time Commitment: Minimum 4 hours per day on Fridays, between 12pm and 4pm.

Responsbilities: The JRT Instructor is responsible for delivering a job preparedness curriculum to refugee job seekers. The Instructor leads activities related to job search and application, interviews, negotiating, proper workplace behavior, and how to leave a job the right way.  The Instructor will send email reminders to students to encourage attendance, and casenote attendance in accordance with IRC documentation guideline. 

Skills/Qualifications: The JRT Instructor must be organized and have a keen attention to detail, as well as the ability to handle multiple tasks/situations simultaneously in a complex environment. Ideally, the volunteer has some experience teaching.  In addition, the volunteer must be reliable and flexible, and have strong English communication and writing skills.  Lastly, the volunteer must be culturally sensitive and respectful of diverse backgrounds, self-motivated and comfortable working with little supervision, and able to handle sensitive client information confidentially.
